Concept:

A newsletter promoting a documentary about Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner and champion of the education of children and women.

Format:

Four-color newsletter emailed to 30,000 Social Studies department chairs. E-blasts and exhibit at the National Council for the Social Studies promoted the availability of the documentary for high school groups.

Results: 5,000+ high school students were able to see “He Named Me Malala” at theaters around the United States.
